Great questions, thanks for the response!

Dealing with addiction has several aspects to cover, fortunately they are all quite easy.

Drugs have a great impact on the physical body, and so hands on (or distance) healing (using the power symbol) with that in mind will go a long ways towards dealing with this aspect.
I believe the most important symbol to use is the second (mental/emotional) symbol. This will balance the energies and break through any energy blocks leading the the addiction in the first place. This can also be used in conjunction with the first (power) symbol.
Since the root causes of the addiction lie in the past, distance healing to the time and place in the past where the problem first manifested is also quite helpful. In this case I would use all 3 symbols, i.e., power, mental/emotional & distance. Use the distance symbol first to make sure you are connected to the time and place you need to be.
Likewise you can also send Reiki to the future using the distance symbol. So I would be sure to send some Reiki to greet her the next time she is vulnerable.

That should be enough to get you going, let me know if you run into any obstacles along the way.

Not to change the subject, but what symbols(If I may), would you use on an addicted person?
Have you written anything on this topic?

I am going to do some work on a person who is in denial and addicted(alcohol and pres. drugs), with emotionaly based beginnings(childhood). She is running close to disaster(with 3 children in tow), and as she lives near me, I want to help her, and I want to protect my family(as she speeds past our house) as well.

I will work on the early childhood issues and maybe some past lives, and was wondering how YOU, or anyone else would go about helping her find herself.

I have intended that truth(cho ku rei) come out without harming anyone.

Also, am glad you write your topics freely, the way you do, and hope people understand that you would never condone anything that would not benefit the body. Don’t want to see you have to defend everything you write as you cover all topics. Some of us need to hear these topics and some of us have questions come up as we read. So, keep writing!
