‘Tis Typhoon season again here in Japan and with the damage recently inflicted by Typhoon Parma in the Philippines it really got me to thinking about it… from a Reiki perspective… and here is what I came up with.

Before I begin I’d like to encourage all of my readers to take a moment to send some Reiki to the Philippines… there is a lot of cleaning up to do, a lot of hurt to heal and a lot of pain to soothe. And I know there will be a lot of appreciation if you do… so go ahead… I’ll wait… <insert sound of fingers drumming> THANKS!

Typhoon Reiki

Now turning to Typhoon Reiki (no this isn’t yet another style of Reiki) it seems to me that typhoon, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. are very angry. Whether Mother Nature is actually angry at us for continuing to destroy the natural beauty all around us on a daily basis or if the anger just resides in my over active imagination is regardless… thoughts have tremendous power, with or without adding Reiki to them, and the damage being inflicted, on many levels, is very real.

That is why, in addition to sending Reiki to the people and places damaged by these tropical storms I also encourage you to send Reiki to the typhoon itself… but as intention must be focused in order to be effective it must be done a certain way… and that is by focusing on the anger aspect.

Just as in using Reiki to deal with any other emotion issue, use the mental/emotional healing symbol and send it directly to the anger the typhoon is emanating. Those Reiki practitioners who make it a habit to empathize with their recipients need to be very careful, because the level of anger in a storm is vastly more powerful than that felt by a human, and I wouldn’t advice attempting to do so unless you are quite practiced in it.

In one school of Hawaiian Shamanism (Huna) there is a practice called grokking where the healer “becomes one” with  the storm and slowly guides it away from the region. This is a very advanced practice, and quite dangerous for the inexperienced, but the principle is based around the idea that the storm has consciousness and that consciousness can be directly influenced. Since consciousness requires thought, and thought requires a thinker, it follows that there are also emotions that are possibly attached to that thinker. That is the level that we are concerned with here.

Hopefully, by understanding the mechanisms involved you will be able to direct your Reiki much more efficiently. While sending Reiki to the storm in general, it is much more effective if you focus it internally and send a Reiki Blast to the causes of the storm… which is the anger and violence it seems to be manifesting.

The more you practice this particular technique the easier and more automatic it will become… and doing so will take you a long way towards achieving Total Reiki Mastery.

That’s all good and fine, but today I’d like to go beyond merely connecting to Reiki… I’d like to go a bit deeper by exploring the practice of actually going inside Reiki for a quite powerful and most meaningful experience that I refer to as Plugging into Reiki.

Plugging into Reiki requires first connecting to Reiki in whatever way you’ve been taught. Once you are connected, rather than proceeding with whatever task you’ve set out for yourself, hold that connection. Notice how every fiber of your being can sense it. Strengthen the connection by setting your intent to do so. Just imagine the connection getting and it will. As it gets stronger you will be able to feel the effects deeper inside. Spend some time experiencing these deeper sensations. Notice how they effect you not only physically (tingling, vibrating, etc.) but mentally, emotionally and spiritually as well.

Focus on each of your chakras and notice how the deeper connection effects each of them in turn. Notice, that as far as connections go you have just scratched the surface of how deeply into Reiki you can go. Take some time, a few days, a few weeks, a few months… and practice going deeper and deeper into Reiki until you are fully immersed. For myself, when I first experienced this it was like being under water and I panicked because I felt I couldn’t breathe. This is simply not so… but if you get the sensation, just know that you are still breathing in the air, same as when you started.

Once you are immersed… you are, what I consider to be, plugged into Reiki and the possibilities at this point really are endless. It is quite different from merely connecting to Reiki, and, unfortunately it is something that must be experienced to be understood.

The good news is that it really was a fascinating article… the bad news is that it had nothing whatsoever to do with Japan. Not really bad news… I was just hoping there would be some kind of Reiki Exposé revealing all the deep dark secrets known to only those who had them whispered in secret at some masked underground ceremony. The spiritual side of making wine

Already improved by modern technology, winemaking may now also get a little extra help from reiki , feng shui and biodynamics

Between the cold steel of enormous fermentation tanks and the state-of-the-art equipment in the tasting rooms of today’s modern wineries, it’s hard to believe that there is any element of the winemaking process that is not governed by the strict dictates of science. So imagine my surprise when, visiting just such a winery in the heart of Spain’s Castilla de la Mancha, I found a winemaker using the Japanese technique of reiki to channel positive energy into their wines.

It would be easy to dismiss this as superstitious nonsense, especially considering we were in the heart of Don Quixote country. Up until 1837, when Theodore Schwann discovered that yeasts were necessary to the process of fermentation, winemakers tended to be a superstitious bunch. The yeasts that are necessary to magically transform grape juice into alcoholic wine are naturally present in the air in wine producing regions, but were to all intents and purposes invisible to our forebears.

These yeasts, known as wild or ambient yeasts, come into contact with the sugars in the grapes and convert them to alcohol, heat and carbon dioxide. These days, many wineries add their own yeasts rather than chance the process to wild ambient yeasts, especially in the New World where ambient yeast populations are not yet adequate for the fermentation process.

Modern winemakers fully understand the science behind the alchemy of fermentation and aging, so why would they feel the need to recourse to mysticism to improve their wines?

I asked winemaker Maria Pilar Palomar at Bodegas Palomar Sanchez about her use of reiki. “Reiki is a universal energy, and treatment with reiki may be directed to people, animals, plants, things or situations. Reiki is the channeling of ki(energy) through a series of techniques using the hands, and that is what we do in the wine cellar. We produce a grape and a wine of high quality and do not use reiki to improve the organic properties of the wine: its aroma, color and flavors. We believe, instead, that reiki harmonizes the wine with the energy of the universe, and when people drink our wine it balances body and mind. We believe that reiki energy flows in nature, and we want our wine to be one of the channels through which people can receive this energy.”

Belief that ki, or chi, can enhance the winemaking process can be found elsewhere. Howard Park’s Margaret River winery in the southwest of Western Australia was built using feng shui principles. Owner Amy Burch explained why she decided to consult a feng shui expert when building her winery. “I have always subscribed to the premise that if your environment is well thought out in planning, allowing for good spaces for people to enjoy work in, you will find that people are happier. I am of Asian extraction and it seemed a natural way to go to use Asian practical techniques to enhance our building project.”

Building principles were used to enhance the flow of chi energy throughout the site. Built 2.5 degrees off magnetic north, the winery is positioned in the most auspicious spot at the highest point of the property. There are a number of smaller details to consider when enhancing the chi of a site: There are no sharp edges and even the number of different colored fish in the pond is an important part of the equation. When asked what positive effect all this had on the wine, Burch’s answer was equivocal. “It is hard to judge. If the people in the company are prepared to invest in feng shui principles, then we are open to any aspects that will enhance our production — and that can only be positive.”

It’s easy to see how winemakers might refuse to be drawn into stating the positive effects spiritual techniques might have on that wine. Spiritual energy is rather hard to quantify and, in my experience, impossible to detect at a tasting. So why use it at all?

Although scientific methods have gone a long way to modernizing and improving today’s winemaking, there remains an element of the process that is akin to art. There are a number of decisions that the winemaker has to make on instinct, such as how long a wine ought to be kept in the barrel to age, or what kind of oak to use for the barrels.

Jim Elder, director of marketing at the Sorting Table, a large Californian wine importing and distribution company, is a strong believer in the good instincts of winemakers. “There’s science but there’s also art to it, no one will ever know the exact truth of whether or not a certain technique is actually doing it.

“Wine is so complex, even if you change just one particular thing, because the weather pattern the next year will be different, you’ll never know for sure if it was that one thing that made the wine different. It’s a lot like cooking. No one’s been able to ‘dial it in.’ There are a lot of judgment calls that happen.”

There is, however, a particular branch of winemaking that claims to have come pretty close to “dialing in” the recipe for success, and that is biodynamics. Despite the technical-sounding name, the biodynamic movement is the nearest thing the wine world has to a religious cult, and feelings run high as to the veracity of its teachings. It’s a holistic approach to farming that has its roots in the spiritual philosophy of anthroposophy and posits that the winemaker should consider the vineyard as a self-nourishing system.

Propounded by theosopher Rudolf Steiner in 1924, anthroposophy was a springboard for the organic movement, stipulating that artificial fertilizers and weed-killers must not be used in the farming process. The dictates of the system are rather strict, for example planting is strictly based on an astronomical calendar. “Things like how many times you should stir your concoction of fertilizer. Sticking ash into the horn of an animal and putting it into an acerage. That’s pretty much superstition, there is no technical proof to any of that. So biodynamics has completely wrapped its arms around the mystical side of winemaking,” says Elder who is a confessed cynic about the biodynamic process.

In contrast, Californian Randall Grahm of Bonny Doon wineries is a proponent of biodynamics and believes that the system has a lot in common with Eastern philosophy. “I’m drawn to the spiritual aspect of it. To try to make a person more present with his grapes, his vines and land, more observant and more intuitive. There is something very Eastern in the whole notion of attempting to make a wine that expresses terroir (sense of place).

“The French make a distinction between a wine of effort and a wine of terroir, the former is where the winemaker is really manipulating the wine to suit his own ends, whereas with a vin de terroir the winemaker is taking a more passive attitude, his presence is more discrete allowing the land or the site to express itself — and that seems very Asian. We are making wines with more life force or chi.”

Grahm believes that the more science intervenes in the winemaking process, the less the natural magic of the vineyard is able to express itself, down to using indigenous and not cultured yeast in the fermentation process. “If you grow the wrong grape in the right place or the right grape in wrong place you are always out of balance and trying to correct yourself, whether having to add acid to the wine or picking too late or adding other things to fix the wine. You’re never quite there.”

Grahm tries to attune himself as much as possible with the rhythms of nature and has used experts in feng shui and geomancy (earth divination) to locate the site for his new winery in San Juan Bautista. “A wine of terroir has this resonance, you can think of it as a vibration or a signal; it has a frequency or pulse. It’s a coherent vibration. What you want to do if you make the most expressive wine is to amplify that signal and how you do this is to create sympathetic vibrations, undertones or overtones.”

In addition to knowing their way around a laboratory, modern winemakers need to possess a certain creativity that enables them to step beyond science and into the individual art of winemaking. But trying to nail this ability down with spirituality and a set of rules may bring the winemaker’s mysterious art back down into the realm of the mundane.

The first thing that caught my eye was in the paragraph:

Where Reiki is referred to as mysticism. This didn’t sit quite right with me as I never considered Reiki to be related to any form of mysticism. While there are many different interpretations as to exactly what mysticism really is, my own perception relates mysticism more to paranormal activity whereas Reiki is more related to spiritual activity. Again, some interpretations of mysticism equate spirituality directly to mysticism… so those catering to that interpretation would have no problem… but to me mysticism reeks of the occult… which has some bad stigmas skepticism and negative connotations which I don’t feel should be associated with Reiki.

That kind of put me on guard, but reading on I was quickly assured that while the author may have had the wrong impression of Reiki, the Reiki Practitioners giving Reiki to the wine had no such problem. The statement:

…reiki harmonizes the wine with the energy of the universe, and when people drink our wine it balances body and mind. We believe that reiki energy flows in nature, and we want our wine to be one of the channels through which people can receive this energy.

I found this to be a rather enlightened perception and really liked the way she put that… brilliant!!!

The article turned to discussions of feng shui and biodynamics a bit too quickly for my tastes. I would have liked to hear more about Reiki, but they also made for some interesting reading and I wholeheartedly concur with their interpretations and application to the wine making process and overall wine experience. Now all that remains is for some Japanese reporter for the Japan Times (an English language newspaper) to get curious about Reiki and start digging… Cronkite style… think I’ll go meditate and send some Reiki energy to that idea.

I have a new Total Reiki Mastery Original Reiki Technique for you and I think you’re gonna like it… I call it Reiki Bombs and don’t worry, if you are a pacifist, and/or hate the idea of exploding things… you’re still gonna love it. So here it is…

Reiki Bombs

The main idea of this technique is simple… create a supercharged ball of Reiki energy, and explode it over a given place at a given time. Here are the steps…

1. Connect to Reiki in your usual way
2. Draw the first (power) symbol in the air
3. Hold your hands in front of you, about a foot apart
4. With your eyes open, visually imagine a red balloon in front of you
5. Make the balloon blue or green if you have high-blood pressure
6. Spend as much time as you have available pumping Reiki into it
7. As you pump the Reiki in, allow the balloon to expand as it fills
8. Allow the balloon to grow to whatever size you like
9. Now close your eyes and connect to the third (distance) symbol
10. Visualize the time and place you want to send this energy
11. Visualize a line between that time and place and your current one
12. Witness the balloon traveling along that line
13. When it reaches its destination, explode it
14. Witness the contents raining down on everything below
15. When you are satisfied with the results, open your eyes
16. Rinse and repeat as often as desired

This technique knows no bounds and your imagination is the only limit. The main thing is that it works like gangbusters and your witnessing of the effects is extremely powerful. You must bear in mind that the effects will be Reiki effects, and hence the effects you witness (world peace, etc.) manifest in Reiki energy, not in a physical way… accumulation of that Reiki energy will cause the physical manifestation… just give it some time… and a lot of Reiki! ENJOY!!!

Last night we had the most intense lightning storm I have ever experienced. For a few hours the sky just kept lighting up and rumbling. And of course, whenever anything out of the ordinary occurs I think of Reiki! Don’t you?

Its the rainy season here in Japan… well at least it still is in my neck of the woods although it has already ended elsewhere. Yesterday’s rain during the storm was torrential. Although the rainy season is nearing completion, this was the strongest rain we experienced this year. Kind of like a last hurrah… we’ll see.

One of the benefits of thunder and lightning is that it substantially breaks up the humidity, which has been staggering this year. Even more so than usual. You can stand a spoon up in the air! Okay, not quite… but just about.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah… Reiki! Okay, so while I was watching this magnificent storm I could feel its energy very strongly. My hair was almost standing up. Actually it was standing up… but it always is… I keep it pretty short in the summer. The tingling reminded me of Reiki, although the energies are vastly different. So I connected to Reiki, and just let the sensation grow in my hands. Then every time the sky lit up at its highest intensity, I blasted Reiki to the light. My intent was set such that it would disperse the Reiki on everything in its path, kind of like a Reiki Shower added to the seasonal shower that we were experiencing.

I’m not really sure what the result was but I had the feeling that something was definitely happening. Soon it seemed that Reiki got the idea, and being the intelligent energy that it is, it started swelling with the lightning with lesser and lesser effort from me. I also had the distinct impression that it was amused… if such a thing is possible. I have never had Reiki who any kind of emotion in the past, and it could very well have been my own projecting that caused the feeling… but then again…

After awhile I fell asleep and gradually the storm subsided. If you ever get the chance to try this, I highly recommend it, and I, as well as our other Total Reiki Mastery readers, would love to hear about it!

I‘d like to share a simple technique here for producing, what I have found, to rank among some of the strongest Reiki I have ever experienced. This is an original technique that I teach to my advanced Hana Reiki students, although any and all Reiki Practitioners should easily be able to perform it. Interested? Read on…

The Power of the Tween

Cutting right to the chase, for centuries the power of the tween, i.e., ‘the times between’ have always held a special fascination and an increase in power for countless shamanic groups, witches and wizards, mysterious cults and not so mysterious religions. These generally fall at midnight, the time between one day and the next, more so at new years, the time between one year and the next and even more so with the arrival of new centuries or millennia. This should be enough theoretical explanation for the first part of this technique.

The Power of the Dream

The second part of this technique involves that mysterious dimension we travel to when we dream. That place where time stands still and we can fly and moonwalk through walls. The powers inherent in lucid dreaming have always held a certain wonder for me, and as of yet I still haven’t been able to lucid dream to the extent where I can perform Reiki in my sleep. Although I’m working on it… and have been for many years. Lucid dreaming in and of itself is quite a daunting accomplishment and my success has been limited… although I have succeeded at times, it has proven much more difficult than I would like.

The Power of the Tween Dream

The technique that I am introducing to you today is kind of blend between the power of the tween and the power of the dream. In this case the tween is that time between sleep and wakefulness. When we are just coming out of sleep, but still drenched in Mr. Sandman’s Magical Dust. The secret here is remain perfectly still when we first awaken. Do not move a muscle, do not open your eyes, do not speak and if you wake up by alarm clock do not reach over to turn it off. DON’T MOVE! Only by doing so (or not doing so to be more precise) can you remain in the tween for the task at hand.

For those of you who have difficulty in remembering your dreams you may also try this… it is when we move that the dreams (which are held in our muscles and the spaces in between our atoms) disperse and try to enter our logical mind, when they are incomprehensible. If you want to remember your dreams… DON’T MOVE!!!

Okay, back to the technique. Where were we? Oh yeah… I left you awake, but motionless, in your bed. By now you should be coherent, but still in la la land. [technical term] This is the perfect time and place to send a most powerful distance Reiki. The first thing you need to do is to call the Reiki energy to you. Some people do this mentally as a rule, others raise their hands to connect, as I do. Since you can’t move, you have to call it mentally. And you will soon feel that familiar tingling in your hands.

The second step is to visualize the distance symbol and or internally invoke the mantra. Either works equally well. For those of you who went through my 30 Day Reiki Challenge you would have gained some experience in distinguishing between distance Reiki energy and regular Reiki energy… for those that didn’t it’s not really important… just helpful. Once you have completed this step you are ready to send Reiki wherever and whenever you like… the sky is the limit.

Sending Reiki from this state is quite invigorating. Not only can you feel the Reiki pulsing through your hands at a phenomenal rate, but you will feel it with an intensity that is generally not achievable in a waking state. If you want to make it even more powerful, you can use what I call the Reiki Snowball Effect. I will send Reiki to myself in the morning 5 days later on the first day, 4 days later on the second, 3 days later on the third, etc. Then on the 5th Day you will have this incredible build up of Reiki energy that you can then direct whoever you like. [insert sound of evil laughter here]  Pretty neat, eh?

The most difficult part of this technique is remembering to do it. That takes a bit of discipline. But if you persist, and then take the 5 minutes needed to do so every morning, it will soon become habit and just another step on the path to Total Reiki Mastery and will turn your Reiki practice into something somewhat truly special… if it isn’t already!

I remember reading a blogpost a couple of years back written by some guy who really loved his iPhone… he was going on and on about its many features and how it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I remember wanting to throw up and thought the guy was completely off his rocker. Well, I’ve had my iPhone for a few months now and I really hope no one wants to throw up after reading this post, because I REALLY LOVE MY IPHONE!!!

Rather than extol its virtues, however, I am just going to talk about my favorite iPhone Applications as far as Reiki is concerned. There are two of them in particular, and they both come packaged with the iPhone… so you don’t have to track them down, and they are also available on other cell phones and computers, so these Reiki techniques will work even if you don’t have an iPhone.

My first favorite Reiki application is the Contact List. All of the most important people in my life are on that contact list, and it requires no effort at all to scroll down the list of people and send Reiki to whoever I choose. They each have a photo and enough information that Reiki will have no trouble in tracking them down. I don’t know how many times a day I open my iPhone and chose someone from the list, or just scroll down at random and give Reiki wherever it stops scrolling. Once the name is up I just draw the distance symbol (and whichever other Reiki Symbols are necessary) and blast away.

My second favorite Reiki application is the Calender. This provides multiple ways in which to send distance Reiki. First I can pull up a month and send Reiki to the entire month. If I want to be more targeted I can pull up a day (past or future) and send Reiki to that entire day. Drilling down a little more, I can pull up any event on a particular day and send Reiki directly to that event. If I have a meeting planned that I know will be stressful, I can have Reiki waiting for me when I get there. If I am going to a Reiki Share or conducting a Reiki Class, I can send Reiki ahead to make sure everything happens as its supposed to happen. The possibilities are endless.

My third favorite Reiki application is the Camera Roll (a.k.a. the photo library). I keep pictures of my favorite people and events in there,a nd the same as with the Contact List I can send Reiki to those pictures with very little effort no matter where I am. There is even a picture of myself for those self-Reiki healings where its more appropriate to be seen with a cell phone in my hand rather than a picture of myself… like on a plane, train or roller coaster.

My fourth favorite Reiki application is called Google Earth, and its one I had to download (although its free) and with it I can zoom in anywhere on the planet with amazing detail. I can send Reiki to the entire Earth, a continent, country, state, city, street or house. I found the hospital I was born in and sent Reiki back to the day I was born. The Alamo might be next…

My fifth and final favorite Reiki application is YouTube and its another free on that comes with the iPhone. Any time at all I can play my favorite Reiki Video.

Having only been a member of the I LOVE MY IPHONE CLUB for a short while I’m sure there are many other applications that I will find that will fit right seemlessly into my Reiki practice. How about you?

I‘ve discussed Aromatherapy in the past (here for example) but this is something new and completely different… a whole new perspective on Aroma Therapy and/or Reiki Therapy… read on if you will…

While dousing myself with cologne this morning (been using JHL for ages) a thought struck me. What would the effect be if I Reikied my cologne before using it? Would the Reiki be carried on the scent and affect those it encountered? Would the Reiki stay with me as long as the aroma lingered? Would the Reiki activate the healing powers of the essential oils used in the production of the cologne (if Aramis actually uses any natural ingredients) for greater effect? Would the symbols be useful in such an endeavor? Some good questions there, don’t you think?

I gave the bottle about 5 minutes of Reiki using the Master Symbol (which usually works if you don’t know which symbol to use) and I went about my business (which was limited to picking up a few paintbrushes and a microwavable pizza). While I didn’t see anyone jumping up out of wheelchairs and I didn’t hear anyone shouting “I can see” I got the sensation that there was indeed something different about the cologne. It could’ve just been my imagination, or it could’ve really been something cool.

I will be repeating this on a daily basis (not sure how long the cologne holds the Reiki… might just have to give the bottle an attunement) and monitoring the results. I will be sure to let you know if I find anything and in the meantime, anyone else who wants to try it… with cologne, perfume, incense sticks, chap-stick, etc. please let me kno.w if you notice anything.

When my daughter was a baby she used to get Reiki on a regular basis. As a result, she’s grown up with Reiki as a normal part of her worldview. yesterday, while preparing some old clothes for recycle she grabbed this old worn out blanket from the pile and squealed… “my Reiki blanket!” I thought she was kidding around and didn’t immediately connect the dots, but my wife did (amazing how quick on the uptake she can be at times… but I’m not going there). You see, I had forgotten about all the Reiki I used to give to her and 99% of the time she was wrapped up in that little blanket while I was doing it. Years later it is all quite a blur to me, but it is as fresh in her mind as if it were yesterday. This got me to thinking, and I could probably write a book about what that simple exchange, but for this post I will limit it to the following…

With all the Reiki I’ve given over the years, it would be no surprise to learn that the rooms I have given Reiki in have absorbed quite a bit of it. For a couple of years I frequented a monthly Reiki Share led by one of my teachers (Rev. Hyakuten Inamoto) and that meeting was always in the same room of an old house. Upon entering that room I could feel the Reiki energy long before the Reiki sharing began. There were some very power Reiki practitioners (including Hyakuten himself) giving Reiju and pouring out Reiki for several hours each session, and I’m sure the room was saturated, as I didn’t really sense it in any other room of the house.

Another Reiki Share I used to frequent on a monthly basis (I only get around to these every so often nowadays) was led by my other Reiki teacher (Hiroshi Doi) and that meeting was always in a different room of a large community center. I don’t know if it was because these were held in different rooms, or if there were just too many people in and out of them during the month, but even though these meetings have been held here for over a decade I cannot sense any Reiki at all in the rooms when I enter them (they are quite full by the time we leave though).

Recently I’ve taken to scanning rooms and objects for Reiki following Reiki Shares and Reiki Sessions and I’ve found some interesting things. Some rooms and some objects seem to keep the Reiki energies for longer amounts of time. Reiki sessions given in the Japanese room of my house (a traditional room with no windows and tatami floors) keeps the energy the longest. I don’t know if it is the lack of windows that keeps other outside energies from replacing it or not, but the tatami mats on the floor seem to hold the energy much more than the carpeting or wood floors in the other rooms.

My massage table, although being used for a lot of Reiki sessions doesn’t seem to hold much energy, but the silk blanket that covers it does. Some pillows and mats also hold the energy better than others. Some liquids (like water and salty sports drinks) holds the energy much longer than colas or coffees and some foods do much better than others.

After comparing notes on all this stuff <technical Reiki term> it seems that natural materials (whole foods, tatami, silk, soft wood, etc.) hold Reiki much longer than synthetic ones. Soft wood absorbs the Reiki quicker but hard woods keep it longer. Wood walled rooms hold the Reiki, better than concrete, wallpaper, drywall or paneling and windowless rooms hold the energy longer than rooms with windows, glass sliding doors or connecting rooms with traffic.

Looking at all of this it makes quite a bit of sense, but I never really thought about it before. Now that I have I will be sure to pay closer attention to it, and as always, should I discover anything worth reporting you will all be the first to know.

Just a quick post on New Years Resolutions today because there are resolutions and there are RESOLUTIONS… to turn one into the other… just add Reiki!! Here are a few questions to get things off to a good start:

• Have you made your New Year’s Resolutions yet?
• Have you Reikied your New Year’s Resolution(s) yet?
• Have you made a resolution or two specifically related to Reiki?

The secret to New Year’s Resolutions is making them reasonable. You should always be striving to better yourself and New Year’s Resolutions should be designed with that in mind. They should be doable (not too easy, yet not too difficult) and clear (it’s much easier to get where you’re going if you know where you’re going). Once you’ve decided on a good one (or a few good ones depending on the difficulty) you should write it down so that you always have a reminder of them someplace where you will see it often. Then you’ll always be reminded to stay on track.

Once you’ve got them located in a prominent position then you can give them Reiki. Just beam Reiki onto the paper they are written on and do so whenever you see that piece of paper (or until the resolution has been fulfilled). The more Reiki you give it, the more you empower it and let the universe know you’re serious about it.

If you haven’t done your resolutions do it today!!! And make sure to do it every year… Reiki style!!!
